YourListen.com, the first user generated music and audio content platform of its kind, has launched its next-generation platform.
"YourListen Generation 2" features new partnerships with iTunes, Amazon Music and Juno. These new partnerships enhance the abilities for artists to sell their music directly off YourListen.com, says YourListen President Scott Goodman. Artists can now also take advantage of the new cover image feature on profile pages by utilizing that space to promote an upcoming tour, track or album.
A new hybrid HTML5 and Flash player is now available that includes a new track list feature, which allows content creators to separate large music and audio uploads into smaller tracks. This new track list feature is especially useful for DJ Mixes, Podcasts, and Radio Shows.
"This is the biggest enhancement we have done on the site since the site's launch five years ago,” says Goodman, who has been working on the new site much of this year. "We put a premium on creating new features that will enhance the capabilities that musicians have in expanding their overall reach to fans and increasing their revenue streams."
Founded in 2007 and launched in 2008, YourListen.com is a music and audio platform where users can upload, listen, search, share, download and store music and audio files. A recent member of the Venture Hive incubator program, YourListen.com is now experiencing its largest growth yet.
"Each month for the past five months we have reached over 200 countries and territories across the globe, which reflects the diversity of content that our community not only uploads but listens to," Goodman said, who has been bootstrapping the site since day one.
