FIU offers series of low-cost webinars

February 09, 2012·Nancy Dahlberg

Can't get away for a workshop? Florida International University's College of Business brings its 90-minute seminars to you in its low-cost webinar series.

Next up is "Legal Issues for Entrepreneurs" Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. Leading the seminar: Marcell Felipe, J.D., of Marcell Felipe Attorneys. The session will introduce you to how to determine the right legal, management and financial structure for your startup. You will also learn about tax and liability considerations for various funding structures.

Then on March 13 at 11 a.m. is "Social Media Marketing for Entrepreneurs," lead by John Fleming, technology practice lead for Biztegra Partners. John will help you discover tools and tips for establishing a cost-effective online presence and getting the most out of your marketing dollars. I've attended his workshops before -- well worth the time and you will learn a lot.

On April 24 is "Explore New Opportunities in Small Business," focused on improving sales -- who can't use that one?

The registration fee for each is $25. Register for them here. For more information, contact FIU's Eugenio Pino and Family Global Entrepreneurship Center at (305) 348-7156 or emailentrepreneurship@fiu.edu.
