Startup Quest accepting applications for Fall

August 01, 2014·Nancy Dahlberg

CareerSource Broward’s Startup Quest, a training program for aspiring entrepreneurs, is now accepting applications for the Fall. The program is delivered in half day sessions over a 10-week period and provides hands-on training to individuals who want to start a business or improve their business skills. Mentors guide the individuals through the process of creating business plans to bring new, patentable inventions and technologies to market.

Interested candidates are also invited to attend a no-obligation Introductory Workshop on Aug. 27, noon to 4 p.m., at Global Grille, 416 NE 1st St., Fort Lauderdale. Registration is required to attend this workshop. To learn more about program requirements and to submit an application, prospective candidates can visit http://careersourcebroward.startupquest.org/how-to-apply/.

Startup Quest is open to people with college degrees who are either unemployed or under-employed, and considering self-employment or working for a startup as a career path. Veterans are given preference in the selection process. The training schedule may be viewed at: https://careersourcebroward.startupquest.org/training/

Startup Quest is part of an evaluation study funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration Workforce Innovation Fund.
