The North American Bitcoin Conference
The Bitcoin community will soon be converging on Miami for a direction-setting conference aimed at driving the currency from speculation to mainstream. Building on the recent successes of The North American Bitcoin Conference (TNABC) in 2013 and 2014, TNABC Miami will hit Miami Beach on January 16–18, 2015 at the historic Fillmore Theatre.
TNABC has grown from 100 attendees in 2012, to over 2,000 visitors from 40 countries for the Miami and Chicago conferences in 2014. Speakers include this year Vinny Lunham, Vitalik Buterin, Sam Dastyari, Peter Todd, Jeff Garzik, Jeffrey Tucker, Josh Garza, James Newsome, Roger Ver and Matt Roszak, said Moe Levin, founder of the TNABC.
The Miami conference will cover topics such Bitcoin 2.0, Bridging the Gap between Old World and New World Banking, Running Companies Without Bank Accounts, the Future of Bitcoin Security and Building New Blockchain Applications. Levin expects about 1,000 to attend the Miami conference.
As well as staging groundbreaking and industry-leading Bitcoin companies, TNABC Miami has partnered with Pantera Capital and opened the stage up to emerging talents. Pantera Capital is an investment firm focused exclusively on Bitcoin, other digital currencies and behind behind some of the most successful companies in the bitcoin space including, BitPago, Chain, ChangeTip, Circle, Ripple and Xapo.
“One of the big aims of this conference is to help set the direction for Bitcoin’s near future. I can’t imagine a better group of speakers and attendees to enable that. With their help, I think we will make some headway in defining the largest teething points that are inhibiting growth and make some steps toward overcoming these with new technologies and a more unified approach,” said Levin.
