A year and a half after Pipeline opened the first shared workspace in the Brickell Financial District, the collaborative office space continues to attract a curated mix of entrepreneurs from technology to creative industries. Pipeline says its membership base has reached more than 250 since opening, and the newest members are: Panda, a manufacturer of high-end sunglasses handcrafted from sustainable bamboo; creative agency We Are Visual that focuses on creating powerful and masterfully-designed presentations headed by entrepreneur Nadine Hanafi; and Splyst, a social discovery engine that allows users to collect and display the things they enjoy on the web.
Other member companies that have joined Pipeline Brickell in recent months are: Clearpath, a company that leverages cutting-edge technology to simplify the US immigration process headed by CEO Felice Gorordo; LiveAnswer, a fast-growing enterprise that provides businesses access to call centers founded by serial entrepreneur Adam Boalt; Crea7ive Interactive Advertising, a branding and web design firm led by sisters Maria Pia and Paula Celestino; and The Real Deal Magazine, an online and print publication covering South Florida’s real estate market. Also, the Enterprise Development Corporation of South Florida (EDC), a nonprofit that supports emerging high-growth companies, recently announced that it has opened its Miami headquarters inside Pipeline.
Co-founders Todd Oretsky and Philippe Houdard have focused on curating a 14,000-square-foot modern, flexible workspace with entrepreneurs and innovators who represent technology, healthcare, media, law, real estate and design, among others. Pipeline created the Pipe-Up Series, a monthly members-only event in which companies in the space present their business projects to fellow members, and it also hosts some speaker forums and other events open to the public.
