Philanthrofest workshop provides tools for nonprofits

The Philanthrofest Digital Media Institute is hosting a one-day workshop to provide nonprofit organizations of all sizes with both online and offline skills to improve outreach efforts, increase mission awareness and better connect with the residents of their community.

The workshop is Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. to noon. at Miami Dade College – Wolfson Campus, 300 NE 2 Avenue, Miami, Building 2, Room 2106. Tickets are $20 and available at philanthrofest.com

Speakers and sessions include: Effective Newsletter Writing by Alex de Carvalho, Constant Contact; The Art & Science of Data by Jessica Higgins, Gapingvoid;  Non-Profit Spotlight by Natalia Martinez, Roots of Hope / Raices de Esperanza; and Optimizing Your Website by Ouali Benmeziane, Webcongress.

Philanthrofest is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to uniting people, passion, and philanthropy, not only by providing valuable education to nonprofit organizations, but also through its annual festival which connects thousands of South Florida residents to local nonprofit organizations, as donors, volunteers and clients.
