Thumbtack.compartnered with the Kauffman Foundation to conduct a survey of 6,000 of the small businesses nationwide. Based on the findings, they ranked the friendliness of states and cities towards small business, and have recently released the rankings for Miami's metro area. The Miami area small businesses awarded the city a B+ for its tax system and an A- for its licensing regulations and requirements. However, the city earned a 'C-' for the ease of starting a business, and D ratings for training and networking, hurting its overall ranking.
