Among the international exhibitors at eMerge Americas are Colombia and Taiwan, which set up pavilions to boost their offerings and awareness of their countries.

Photo (7)Taiwan even brought the National Palace Museum, along with several other companies, to present their wares. The Taipei museum is applying modern technology in the museum context, said James Quq-Ping Lin, director general of the museum's department of education, exhibition and information services.

Traveling exhibitions can be costly and cumbersome, so the answer for the future is to bring it in digital form, he said.

​Five other Taiwanese firms offered such products as surgical lighting, flash drives and a means to use technology to generate Chi energy for better health.

Nearby, Colombia's pavilion offered 26 different companies that are hoping to export services tied to technology, such as digital animation, cyber security, mobile applications and IT services.​
