Between booth displays and start-up tables, the eMerge floor is a trove of ideas – some so straightforward you can’t figure out why they are just now coming to fruition. Among them:
- Dylan Goubin of four-year-old Wikipixel, based in Aventura, has created a new app, Citizenshield, that enables residents of cities, universities and condos to report problems such as potholes and grafitti in real time; others can also see that the problems have been reported and resolved. He hopes to market the customized apps to local municipalities.

- Pim de Witte, 20, originally from Holland and now in Miami, has already created successful tech companies. His latest not-for-profit technology has been used to track Ebola patients in West Africa. The latest effort from his firm, White Spell, is a service that links consumers with fitness content for at-home workouts.
