Of the 15th largest metropolitan areas, Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach ranked first in a new study examining the role of personality in spurring entrepreneurship across states and regions. The study, titled "The Regional Distribution and Correlates of an Entrepreneurship-Prone Personality Profile in the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom: A Socio-ecological Perspective," was carried out by a team of U.S. and German psychologists and published in theJournal of Personality and Social Psychology. Following Miami were Seattle, Atlanta, Phoenix and Atlanta.
According to psychological studies, entrepreneurs tend to have risk-taking, achievement-oriented personalities.
