Wyncode's first ever Pitch Day last night attracted more than 150 people to The LAB Miami. The 14 members of the first cohort of the coding school bootcamp learned programming skills – many starting at ground zero. In the last two weeks of the nine-week program, they created projects -- including labcollective.woven.co, www.meme.menu, www.feelheartbeat.com, familyreunion.herokuapp.com, www.goodmeasure.io and www.wythme.co – which they presented to a team of friendly judges from Miami’s tech community, who offered feedback and suggestions. Matt Mawhinney, pictured below, won the Rokk3r Labs challenge, winning a three-month paid internship at Rokk3r paying $9,000, the cost of his Wyncode tuition. CareCloud offered $5,000 signing bonuses to any Wyncode students it hires. Wyncode’s next cohorts are July 21–Sept. 19 and Oct. 20-Dec. 19. Find out more at Wyncode.co.
