Miami mobile technology company GetMyRx announced Monday its expansion into New York. The GetMyRx app allows patients to order new prescriptions or refills in seconds, confirm the copay upfront and get their medications delivered the same day at no extra charge. GetMyRx has teamed with Health Mart, a nationwide pharmacy franchise with more than 3,400 independently owned stores and a strong presence in New York City.
Owned by McKesson, “Health Mart respects the independence of pharmacists, and is committed to delivering quality and safety to patients. Together, we’re tackling a widespread and serious healthcare issue at its roots,” said Luis Angel, CEO of GetMyRx. A recent Harvard University study showed that nearly one in three adults never pick up their prescription.
Angel says GetMyRx will be expanding to more U.S. cities soon. The GetMyRx app can be downloaded for free in the App Store.
