Voike says it is the first social media platform to allow
users (aka Voikers) to voice their emotions privately or publicly with
friends, family or the rest of the world, and the Miami company launched this week in
collaboration with Sony Music.
Voike is an audio content delivery and social media platform that will offer users a free service to post and distribute voice-based communications. Sony Music will work on various initiatives with Voike to build a user base and offer a touch point for artists and celebrities.
The service interacts with social media platforms and will allow voice messages directly on Facebook and Twitter. Voike, which works on non-smartphones, allows users to record or upload a message up to 3 minutes and send it directly to friends, family or a specified user base, as well as distribute these messages across various social media platforms. In the future, Voike allow users to offer voice based testimonials and comments on Instagram, Digg, Groupon and other platforms. “We are solving a huge technology problem for non-smartphone users and opening up an entire world of voice communications for phones that seemingly do it all,” said Jaime Jaramillo, founder and CEO of Voike.
New users can register for a free account at Voike.com. “Voike allows users the chance to announce the big moments in life with a personal touch and the tone in your voice,” added Hector Arroyo, Voike’s CFO. “For celebrities, this is their first opportunity to announce a new movie, song or product launch by speaking directly to fans and consumers.”
The management team behind Voike, which was developed by Miami-based Rokk3r Labs, is Jaramillo, Arroyo and Rick Raesz, the CTO.
