Beyond Zero announced the launch of its Alcohol Freezing Ice Makers, which debuted at the National Restaurant Association's International Wine Spirits and Beer (IWSB) show in Chicago this week. The Miami-based company says this is the world's first ice machine that enables users to freeze wine and spirits into frozen solid ice to be served in alcoholic drinks, creating a colder, smoother, stronger drink versus a cocktail diluted by regular ice.
Beyond Zero says it has developed both a single service device and a fully automatic machine (shown) that makes, dispenses and stores the ice to keep up in high volume settings. In just a few minutes, the machines make four cubes at a time that equal the equivalent of a 1.0 or 1.5 ounce serving of liquor depending on the setting chosen by the user. The machines will be offered first to commercial venues like bars, nightclubs, restaurants, hotels, cruise ships and casinos and are available to order on www.BZICE.com.
The company has consumer models that will be available to the general public in the near future, said Jason Sherman, the inventor and CEO of Beyond Zero.
"We call this new style of drinking 'In The Rocks,' " said Sherman. "We are the first and only company offering a plug-in appliance that makes, stores and dispenses frozen solid alcohol ice. It's our mission to revolutionize the consumer beverage experience on a global level."
