Broward College is launching a new accelerated program designed to retrain, retool and get veterans back to work. Operation Retool, a part of the Advanced Manufacturing program, is open to all veterans and active duty service members, and offers an accelerated engineering technology support specialist certificate that can be completed in three months.
The 18-credit program is being offered in conjunction with the Florida TRADE grant, which was awarded to a group of 12 state and community colleges to develop and deliver technical training programs that would lead to high-demand careers in the manufacturing industry. Operation Retool will begin on Jan. 13 and is accepting applications. More information: www.broward.edu/floridatrade.
