Best Buy to carry Miami Beach startup Muzik's products

Muziklogo - CopyMuzik, a new Miami Beach-based startup creating wearable technology, announced today its products will be sold at Best Buy, its exclusive launch partner.  The products –- including its premier product,  socially connected smart on-ear headphones -- are immediately available online at www.bestbuy.com/muzik and will become widely available in all Best Buy large format stores on Oct. 20 and in an additional 400 Best Buy Mobile stores in November, just in time for the holidays, Muzik said.

All of the products in Muzik’s lineup will be able to fully integrate with the company’s mobile ecosystem, MuzikConnect, as well as Facebook, Twitter, Spotify and Rdio.  “We’re able to combine the power of Muzik’s wearable technology, top streaming music services and social media networks with Best Buy’s world-class consumer electronics retail distribution for the best possible partnership,” said Jason Hardi, Muzik's founder and CEO, in a press release.

Products included in the partnership with Best Buy:

Muzik****Smart On-Ear Headphones:  Retailing for $299, the  headphones will incorporate custom dual-diaphragm 40mm drivers for high-fidelity audio with capacitive touch controls for users to natively share what they are listening to in real-time. Additional product details include a dual-microphone system, full Siri integration, Bluetooth wireless and a 15-hour rechargeable lithium ion battery.

Muzik****Smart In-Ear Headphones:  Retailing at $129, the smart earbuds will also include passive noise cancellation and other features.

Muzik****Smart Cable: retailing at $59, the Muzik Smart Cable is designed to easily connect any set of headphones to a user’s smartphone.

Working with Hardi is John Cawley, Muzik’s chief strategy officer and vice chairman who was a former COO for Music World Entertainment. Muzik, which launched in July but has been working on its product line for about a year, has only a few employees but Hardi and Cawley amassed a 60-person production team to help get Muzik ready for launch.
